Terms &
conditions.

The rules we work by: what you get, what you pay, who owns what, and what happens if things go sideways. Written to be read, not to hide behind.

01 · The agreement

These terms cover using this website and hiring MadeULook Design for work. When you approve a proposal, pay a deposit, or ask us to start, you're accepting them. If we've signed a separate contract or statement of work with you, that document wins wherever the two disagree.

02 · Quotes and scope

Every project starts with a written scope: the pages, the deliverables, the timeline, and one flat price. That price holds for 30 days from the date we send it.

Anything outside that written scope — extra pages, new features, a second brand direction, a rebuild after sign-off — is new work. We'll quote it before doing it. You'll never receive an invoice for something you didn't approve.

03 · The $499 launch bundle

The launch bundle is $499 paid up front, plus $30 per month to keep the site live and looked after. The $499 covers exactly this, once: a website, three blog posts, a six-month SEO strategy document, a Google and Meta advertising strategy document, brand guidelines, a target-audience document, and ten Meta ad creatives.

We deliver within seven days of receiving everything we need from you — content, logo or brand assets, product or service details, and any account access required. The seven days start when the last of that arrives, not when you pay. If material arrives late, the delivery date moves by the same amount.

The advertising deliverables are creative and written strategy only. We do not run, manage, monitor, or optimise your ad campaigns under this offer, and we don't take on your ad spend. Media budget is paid by you directly to Google or Meta. Campaign management is a separate service, quoted separately.

The bundle includes one round of revisions on the website and one on the ad creative. Anything beyond the list above — extra pages, ecommerce, booking systems, custom development, additional creative, more blog posts, professional photography — is not included and will be quoted before we do it.

We can't accept bundle work for categories the ad platforms restrict or prohibit — including but not limited to adult content, gambling, weapons, tobacco and vaping, cryptocurrency and financial trading schemes, pharmaceuticals, and multi-level marketing. If you don't have a product or service you can actually sell yet, this offer isn't the right starting point, and we'll say so and refund you.

Because work begins immediately, the $499 is non-refundable once we've started — except where we decline the project ourselves, in which case you're refunded in full. Nothing here affects statutory rights that can't be waived.

Ownership works the same as any other project: once the $499 is paid, the website, copy, blog posts, strategy documents, brand guidelines, and ad creative are yours to keep and to use anywhere.

04 · The $30/month

The $30 monthly fee covers everything needed to keep your site live: SSL, platform costs, security updates, backups, and the server it runs on. It is not a payment plan for the build, and it doesn't include new pages, redesigns, content changes, or campaign work — those are quoted as they come up.

Billing is monthly in advance and starts when the site goes live. You can cancel any time before the next billing date. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.

If you cancel, the site comes down. Keeping the site live is what the fee pays for, so at the end of your paid month the site stops being served. You keep everything we made — copy, images, blog posts, strategy documents, brand guidelines, ad creative — and on request we'll send you an export of the site files so you or another provider can host it elsewhere. We'll hold your files for 30 days after cancellation, then delete them.

If a monthly payment fails, we'll tell you and give you seven days to fix it before the site is suspended. If the price ever changes, existing clients get 30 days' notice.

05 · Payment

Project work is billed 50% up front and 50% on launch, unless your proposal says otherwise. Retainers and ongoing care are billed monthly in advance. Invoices are due within 14 days.

If an invoice goes more than 30 days unpaid, we may pause work and hold off on transferring files or accounts until it's settled. Deposits cover time already reserved and are non-refundable once work has begun.

06 · Timelines

We quote real dates and we hit them when feedback and content arrive on time. A typical site goes live in about ten working days from kickoff.

Delays on your side — content, approvals, access — move the launch date by at least the same amount. If a project goes quiet for more than 30 days, we may close it out and treat restarting as new work.

07 · What you provide

Copy, logos, photography, product information, and access to the accounts we need — or a clear instruction for us to write and source them, quoted separately.

You confirm you have the right to use everything you send us. If a claim arises from material you supplied, that one sits with you.

08 · Ownership

Once the final invoice is paid, the work is yours: the site, the copy, the designs, the ad creative, and the accounts they live in. No licence fees, no hostage situations, no platform we control on your behalf.

We keep the right to show completed work in our portfolio and to reuse our own underlying methods, components, and internal tooling. Tell us a project is confidential and we'll leave it out.

09 · Third-party services

Projects usually run on platforms we don't control — infrastructure providers, Webflow, Google, Meta, email tools, payment processors, fonts and stock libraries. Their fees, terms, and outages are theirs, and any subscription costs are yours unless your proposal says we're covering them.

10 · Revisions and support

Each project includes the revision rounds listed in your scope — normally two per stage. We fix genuine bugs in what we built free of charge for 30 days after launch.

After that, ongoing changes are covered by a care plan or billed as new work. Breakages caused by edits made by you or another supplier aren't covered, but we're happy to quote the fix.

11 · Results and warranties

We'll do professional work and apply what we know about conversion, search, and advertising. What we can't do is promise specific rankings, traffic numbers, lead volumes, or revenue — those depend on your market, your pricing, your offer, and platforms that change their rules without asking us.

Anything we quote about past results describes other projects, not a guarantee about yours.

12 · Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project. We're not liable for indirect losses — lost profit, lost data, or business interruption.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that can't legally be limited.

13 · Ending a project

Either side can walk away in writing. You pay for work completed and costs already committed up to that point; we hand over everything that's been paid for. Care plans and retainers can be cancelled with 30 days' notice, no exit interview required.

14 · General

We may update these terms; the version published when your project starts is the one that applies to it. If a clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Our cookie policy covers how we handle information.

Questions before you sign anything are welcome — that's usually the cheapest part of a project.
